Does this sound reasonable to you?

My parents tell me I'm not allowed to sleep at my boyfriends house, that they absolutely forbid it. But when I call them at night they won't pick me up. It's over an hour to walk home so what can I do? I have to sleep there.

They tell me they want me to finish high school, that its a necessity. But they wont pay 100 dollars for me to finish the one class I need.

I dont think this is reasonable. How can I explain it to them?

Well, it is kind of hard to say, we don't know all the details.

I find it funny that your folks would pay for your schooling all the way up to this point, then not pay for this one class? Sounds fishy to me. Was this perhaps a class you failed and now you have to take it again? If that is the issue, then no, in my opinion, you should pay for it. You fucked it up the first time, you only get one shot, then if you want to take it again, then you should have to pay for it. Do it right the first time. And a $100 is not hard to earn. Get an after school job or a weekend job. That $100 can easily be made in 16hrs of work.

An hour walk? That isn't the end of the world. Get walking, buy a bike, take the bus. Your parents shouldn't have to come pick you up because little miss princess wants a ride home.

Damn...kids got it easy these days. Spend 2hrs with my dad and things won't be sweet. Walking won't kill you, and earning a $100 won't kill you. If you think that is hard, you got a tough life ahead of you.

An hour walk at night time...no fucking way. I dont consider that much to ask. Its not like i mind sleeping at his house. If they want me home, they can pick me up.

Rock, yes I had a phase of that. I have been clean for over 4 months. Smack was something a tried but never got into, probably because of limited availability. I fail to see how this is relevant, however.

Ride your horse home if your allowed to ride it? If not sell it and get a moped (scooter) or bicycle.

As for the walking home thing, eh, if you don't feel safe I understand. Ask them if it's just the hour that bothers them, & if so, ask what time would be more reasonable for them to come get you as you don't feel safe walking at night. Then be sure to call them by this time.

With the class, I agree... if you failed it, you should take the initiative to pay for the retaking. Babysit, clean houses, etc. if you don't want a 'real' job. Of maybe ask your parents if you can 'work' for them to earn the money (washing/detailing the cars, yardwork, housework, errands, etc.).

But like chowder said, hard to really say without knowing the full story. Best of luck to you anyway!

Its relevant, because maybe they have Trust issues with you now and want to know your Safe at Night and not out Rocking It Up! I mean they don't know who your mixing with, do they?

    Correct me if I'm wrong!
