I had not actually considered an outdoor scrog, sounds interesting. I am highly skeptical of the 8lbs from one plant but if grown long enough and with a big enough screen (overall size not individual hole size) it could be possible.
I still SCROG and also do an occasional SOG but the best results for just one plant at a time is SCROG particularly if you have vertical hieght issues.

BTW, my most recent SCROG grow was with T5HO lighting (Sun Blaze 8 bulb 48" fixture). OMG what a beautiful setup. Heat issues are non-existant with this setup. Light is usually just 1" to 2" from bud tops. Gives me 5,000 lumens per square foot of screen area (4ft x 2ft) and total grow hieght of just 48" from the floor to the top of the light fixture. Training the plants can be a bit labor intensive but there is something to be said for hands-on attention to your plants. (you can learn a lot that way)

Anyway thanks for resurecting this thread, T5HO SCROG is my forvorite way to grow at this point in time. Anyone with hieght and/or plant population restrictions should learn all they can about this method.

Notice that only the buds come through the screen (after training of course) this gives the buds the maximum light. http://www.overgrow.com/edge/galler...=ScrOG--21-.jpg Try looking here, http://users.lycaeum.org/~npkaye/multishelf.html Rating: 5
