american fought for their freedom and now muslim "jihadists" are fighting for theirs. whats the problem this time? whats the difference? britons thought america as uncivilised and barbaric. they tried to take shit over to liberate the people and bring them back under british rule.

Depending on which definition of freedom you are going by that point could be argued. Are the 'jihadists' fighting for freedom from us, yes, and perhaps the freedom to live in an oppressive and cruel Islamic Theocracy. They are not however fighting in the name of individual freedom or liberty.
Also the 'jihadists' that attacked us prior to the Iraq war or pre-Sept 11th, do you think were they also fighting for freedom? If so, freedom from what?
