You know things got strange here when I hit 16, oh back in the day...
But I learned alot over the years about surviving, and eventually actually living well.
1) they pay for everything, and that makes them "right" may not be the case, but that is the circomlocuitous be all and end all of the argument. You dont like it pack up and leave (and thats rarely practical)
2) You need a goal, an exit strategy, something...For me I learned a trade, and my old man actually has to slither up to me now for work, you gotta take the power back! You have to know where your going in other words, school, colledge, training, career, whatever, do something with your life so you will be able to sustain it INDEPENDANTLY and then do what you really want.
3) you need wheels, get a car get a license, you are not really a fully functioning human being if you cant go where you need, when you need to, public transit is for suckers. Im a greenie and all, but you need to be able to be where you need to be when you need to be.
4) if your home isnt your home anymore, think of it more like a place someone is letting you stay at, not really family. That way of thinking helped me be alot more considerate of the environment, parry alot of the shit that would come at me away and also more importantly, when it really is righteous indignation, and i can stand my ground.
5) dont leave abything for them to take care of, no messes, do your own laundry, make your own food, buy it if you can, dont expect to be catered to or cared for in any way, loose the sense of entitlement, they dont really owe you anything. You are a net loss on their budget hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, they love you enough to still feed you and care for you, and they take the frustration that causes out on you by treating you like a lump of shit once in awhile, big deal its still free food.

Dont know if i can be clearer, but take it easy there dood, its going to pass through you like water or over you like a tank, the power is yours.
