One Lady??s Story

I know I should buy a book but time is of the essence, folks.

She??s my sole 53? tall survivor from 10 seedlings.
and she needs transplanting from a 2 gal pot to a 5 gal because new plan is to now stay indoors. Not sure but guessing she??s sativa and that the 5 gal is a must.

May try scrogging her over. Numerous tips I??d say.

Why this dilemma?? Household disunity on security advantages messed up best plans. Then my beloved but may soon be ex-mate starts reading of outdoor busts in morning paper. Then she changes her mind back. She still thinks buying is less risky. Workin on that one.

The rootball pictured is from Lady??s late twin brother. He was also raised in a 2 gal pot. Her roots should resemble this, is the point. This morning her late brothers remains underwent this root structure autopsy. Any insights at all appreciated. I??m thinking pretty weak looking

I would like opinions about how much I should, if any, scrape down the sides of her (almost rootless outer edges of) rootball. On her brother, only a few hair roots ever got out to the container. Rest of dirt into the remains you see pictured did not seem to have any visable roots at all.

Having pre-transplant jitters is all.

Also don??t feel I mixed enough perlite into the mix for Bro and Sis here. During autopsy He came out of his pot perfectly shiney and cylindrical. Pretty solid. Plan to put more perlite to the mix for M??Lady??s new 5 Gallon Jug planter (painted black and drainage prepped with 1?? holes and a crushed granite bed - Check!

But should I try to lose some of outer extremes of the rootball - going with more perlite (and vermiculite?) into the new mix.

Lighting to date:
Six larger sized CFL??s and a warmer 3tube flouro desklamp.
24/7 until 12 days ago.
Since then, 17/7.

For this year may just stay with these.
Considering a less tall flowering box - thinking bending her over an 18? radius - do a makeshift single plant screen for her and the get info on how much height she will need while flowering in that position.

Thanks to all
