It is a really not a good idea to get the bud in direct contact as that will cause excessive mositure to enter the dried material and result in a greater chance of mold. As it no longer has any inherant mositure it will now have all its dead material moist. No life, dead material + moisture = decomposition. It is DeRanger Ricks law.

I was emptying out an old purse that was given to me a few years ago by my mom and came across a dime bag nestled in the corner of the pocket. The baggie was full of weed so I was excited when I found it. The problem is, I havent touched that purse in three years. Meaning, the weed is old too.
