Gathering in Washington DC

I always thought about making a day out of the year to celebrate those who smoke pot and want it legalized. I say it would be a good idea for people to gather in Washington DC. Like the way people protested vietnam. Except it's protesting the fact that marijuana is illegal. And everyone could all at once light up a fattie at 420. And show America that it's not junkies or druggies that smoke weed. But just the normal guy next door. Ok I'm so stoned right now. But it's making perfect sense to me at the moment. What do you guys think?

It'd be cool if it could be organized in a way that you wouldn't be bothered by the authorities. I've always dreamed of the day where I took Johnny Appleseed's idea and just used pot seeds instead and traveled all over the world and just spread joy everywhere. Either that or plant them in front of each and every police station (that has a place for it to be planted) and watch the aftermath to see what the reaction would be when they pulled up and saw a little seedlings stare them in the face.

They would probably take it home and keep it. Then harvest it and toke up. I don't know. Some police officers are really anal when it comes to drugs. But some are ok about it. My boyfriend is in college right now. He has one semester left and he will have his criminal justice degree. He's going to be a homicide detective but before you do that you have to be a cop for a little while. He's also going on to law school after this semester to be a lawyer. Just he's going to do homicide while in law school. Anyway the point is he's like " I'm pro legalization. I am not going to bust anyone for any drugs unless I absolutely have to. It's crazy that our prisons are full of non violent offenders." And I have met other cops like that as well. I was in the army myself as an MP. I got discharged because I got hurt really badly and I can't run anymore. But the MP's that I were with all smoked up. And we never busted anyone unless we had a hard up MP with us at the time. And if we didn't they would tell on us and we would be in some shit. So I don't know.

Where have you guys been!!?? Nancyrenee, they have the Great American Smokeout in DC every year! I can't remember when they started it, but I know at least as far back as 95. This 4th of July you can have your wish if you want to join the thousands of others!

Actually it's called the Smoke-IN, but it's held at Lafayette park across from the White House in DC and there are usually thousands of people there smoking.

No shit! Hmm I'll have to tell one of my stoner buddies about that. He might want to take that trip for a day or two just to do that. That's awesome.

i am from DC and yeah the smoke in has been going on for years and is definately worth the trip. it always gives me a sence of accomplishment lighting up a blunt in front of the white house on the 4th.
