Do you think i could mix mg soil with normal germination soil in 1 pot? (bottum 3/4 mg soil top 1/4 germination soil)??

Did you soke your seeds in water for 24hours beffor putting them in the soil to leave in the dark till they sprout?

Two more popped out tonight.

Though they are barely outta soil...infact their hooks have not even emerged, I have them under lights.

As soon as you see it, it is able to see light...thus they are ready.....

RED...it is my objective to leave them in the same container.

60 days veg is not too long..but then you are not truly growing a SOG.

SOG is designed for quick veg and flower. 60 days the plants would be three feet tall...maybe four....and you have multiple kolas all over the place and hence not a SOG grow.

With a 60 day veg, you are looking at approx. 120 days....
A SOG grow should be no more than 81......give or take....

FOr all intents and purposed, the grow day count will commence on this coming Monday the 15 of August morning as day 1.

By then all seed that sprought will have and the grow commences.

Still no White Widows.

I give them til sunday to sprout.

MOsaka....anything that has the Miracle Grow name on it has no business in an MJ grow...period.

I am not sure what 'germination' soil is so I cant advise on that.

I do not soak my seeds prior to germ....there is no need as far as I am concerned. I like to place in soil 1/4" deep and loosely fill the hole and water every other day or so...just a dropper filled with water right on top of the seeded hole.

Light is not detrimental to germinating as long as it doesnt dry out the seed.

I lean towards hydro, more than potted medium, that is why I Germinate, besides I've never had a problem getting the little bastards to pop open...It was keeping them alive that always stumped me until the last year, when i got serious...remember

i am setting up my growroom 2day...nearly finished. it lookes a bit like yours, only with 10 plants, (havnt yet set the to germinate) strain - master kush. i was told they stay low.I am going to give them 2 x 100 watt compact flourescents. 1 cool white, 1, warm white. Do you think tht will do?

OK here is the updated status....

25 seed planted...
21 sprouted.....

ALL seeds sprouted except for the WHITE WIDOWS

And damn, i was looking forward to that so much.

The widow seeds were obviously bad. Even though they passed my crunch test, they failed to sprout.

THat tells me mold had probably infected the host bud(s) and thus the zero germ rate from this batch.

If mold had infected your bud, don;t sell the fucking seeds.

Moving on...

Here is Now DAY 1 of the SOG grow....my Sea of Green will be 4 plants short, so already now I am behind in the game.

LESSON #1..... plant more seeds than you need.

See, no matter how good you germ, a bad seed lot can fuck up your dreams

We'll see what lesson number 2 is when I learn that...the HARD way...lol....

I am going for 21 days. Irrelevant of plant height.

A true SOG is just that....a quick in and out. Also, if I veg any longer. root bound will be a problem and I dont want to deal with that.

I want these to grow and flower in the same container.

I couldnt find my other 55W CFL, (damn I hid that sucker well I guess), so I went ahead and installed another 125W CFL.

So now I am veggin with:

3 125W
2 55W

For a total of 485W of CFL's......

I have sectored off the 3 different studies I wanna do here....

simplified it a bit since I have 4 less plants to study than I wanted to.

I am testing:

dinosaur water w/superthrive
RO water w/root hormones w/superthrive
RO water w/o superthrive

Future grows will need to be done to study the results of some of the other items I wanted to test, but this will give me tons of info and insight into what works best and then I can build and share from there.
