Good growth HD! Intersting how light green some of them are. What do you think the brown areas on that front plant is caused by?

Becasue I chose the small bottle, the plant literaly was soaked with water until the water was absorbed by the soil.
Now that the plant is growing, the lower veg is raising itself above the container rim and now we are seeing the results of leaves sitting in water for just a tad bit too long.
This is normal and while not preferred, totally expected. These leaves will be amongst the first to die so no biggie as far as I am concerned.
The light colored leaves are from plants that are BlueBerry strains. They smell very pungent.
I need some two liter bottles badly. I am afraid some will be root bound in 48 hours.
If i cant find them for overnight delivery today, I'll go buy them today and start dumping down the drain.
I gotta get them outta those pots by Friday

Why couldn't you get a bunch of the 6" plastic pots common to all gardening stores? Not enough room?

Correct. I planned on 28, but germed only 25.
None the less, I want to grow these with deep root structure rather than width.
The two litre soda bottles are perfct and they are what I will veg and flower in next time...provided I dont SCROG my next grow.
But I really think this is the way for me to get the most yeild out of my 3.75 sq. space so I'll prolly do another one start to finish with what I learned on this grow.
And, I miscalculated the little bottle I used...I should have raised the soil level higher as had I doe that, the plants would be even more developed than they are now.
The real question is what will the potency be like from 21 -22 day old babies. I have heard it does not affect potency, but havent done it myself.
Anyhow right now they are struggling for root room. I will prolly spend all night tonight transplanting....I dont think I can wait anotehr day. I dont want them going into flower with transplant shock, so the sooner the better.

I was thinking of doing a test with say like a 6-8 inch diameter by 2+ foot piece of pvc pipe. I read where some growers that have been doing it for a long long time said that the tap root is very important not to have hit the bottom of your container and start curling around. The straighter it can be the better the health of the plant. Watering would be the only issue. Getting the soil wet all the way down would be key it would seem. With the proper percentage of perlite though I'm sure it would drain well. Course I suppose that with a SOG you may not need that deep of a container. Maybe just with a regular grow. Be a cool thing for you to try with Cumbucket and her friends!

Good Idea!
The watering problem would be very real. However, if I loaded say the bottom three inches with my lava rock, I could sit the plant into a bottom feeder container and water rom the BOTTOM UP, like I did whore and cunt, very sucessfully
Yes, a good idea......
Already though all the roots have hit bottom and are now curling in the corners and bottoms of the containers I have now.
I like the PVC pipe idea.
Allow me to study and perhaps I will keep the one or two plants out for this purpose.....
I am only going to keep one or two plants........if that.
I committed to the SOG as a study and I really dont have room for two great females to grow and flower. I guess halfway thru flower I will see the results take shape and can plan my next grow then.
But yes, bottom feeding the PVC with the lava rock is indeed a good idea.....I might consider that......

Plus I do want to do the next SOG with clones from a mother plant which will result in higher yeild I am sure from the MAIN KOLA.
So perhaps I need to keep two to get one mother plant.... But the question is, how many clones can I take from a mother at one time. If I need 20 per harvest, I suppose I need 4 mothers?
Any ideas on how many mother I would need to get 20 clones?

It would seem like if you lst'd you could get all those secondary growth shoots to really come up and use those for clones. I just went and counted the secondary shoots on the plants I posted pics of and they each have about 15-20 so one plant would take care of your needs it would seem. Probably smoke momma but maybe not.
