Ermitonto,

Even in societies which, on the surface, appear to not have the use of "Money" the persuit of "wealth" is indeed the human condition.

Take for example the case of African tribal societies in which marraiges are negotiated to the extent that the groom "pays" for the hand of his bride by giving her family a certain number of cattle or goats. While proponents of anti-capitalism will point to those particular societies as "having no money at all" the fact is that the cattle and/or goats "are" money. In fact the persons who persue the increase of their herds population end up being the persons in that society who have the most influence or "power". They do not just "share" their wealth with those who choose not to work.

The fact that a few very small communities have "appeared" to get along without money is not proof that that system will work for very large groups over a very long period of time. (where are those Spanish communes now?) That has NEVER been the case at any time during human existance no matter how romantic the concept may seem. Indeed capitalism in the US demonstrates far more compasionate use of wealth than any of the anrachistic or "communal" economic systems ever have.

Supporters of "anarchistic views" are at best very naive and at worst just downright ignorant and distructive to the progress of any society. Just proclaiming "I'm anti-everything" is not a productive stance but intstead just an excuse not to participate in improving the status quo.

just my views from a liftime of observation,

I recently saw an episode of Montel Williams wherein he descirbes his personal use of medical MJ and at the end of the show he expressed his disbelief and lack of undestanding of why the federal govt will not or can not legalize medical pot use for pain and suffering. The answer is really quite clear and as usual is best explained via the "follow the money" approach. The US drug industry (big Pharma in stock market terms) is one of the biggest lobbying groups in the world. Notice the effect Rating: 5
