The "communism" you speak of is not what I am advocating. I refuse to idly accept the status quo when there are other systems which have been shown to work better. In the Spanish Civil War, there were hundreds of communes which had achieved real socialism, that is, nobody was subordinate to anyone else in the workplace, and production was geared toward meeting the needs of the community rather than the needs of the dollar (money had even been abolished in many areas). See http://www.anarchistfaq.de/secA5.html and http://www.anarchistfaq.de/secCcon.html for more info.

It is not the "human condition" to pursue money. For 99% of humanity's existence, money didn't even exist. In fact, society was based on cooperation, not competition. If you hunted food and your other tribe members didn't, you would share your food with them. You wouldn't hoard the food up and use it to get others to do your bidding.
ermitonto Reviewed by ermitonto on . Why Med MJ is opposed by Federal Govt. I recently saw an episode of Montel Williams wherein he descirbes his personal use of medical MJ and at the end of the show he expressed his disbelief and lack of undestanding of why the federal govt will not or can not legalize medical pot use for pain and suffering. The answer is really quite clear and as usual is best explained via the "follow the money" approach. The US drug industry (big Pharma in stock market terms) is one of the biggest lobbying groups in the world. Notice the effect Rating: 5
