anyway i heard that scientifics saw that a meteorite was coming straight to the earth, and that in like 15 years it would reach our earth. (a friend told me he heard this like 1 month ago).

i just read in a magazing that says in 2029 we are going to have the closest near miss by a potentially dangerous asteroid in over a millenium....which means years after that in its next orbit we might not be so lucky.
in 2004 when it was discovered they gave it the odds of over 1 in 50 chance of it hitting. then in january the chances of it hitting had faded away.

i dont know if thats what your mate was talking about but its not going to hit....the asteroid is called 2004MN4
