I'm beginning to think "temporary" is a bit optimistic. Ron's wording suggests this is to be only a temporary break, but his failure to explain the precise nature of the problem he has with my moderation style suggests otherwise, since I can't be expected to correct the "problem" unless I know what it is. Perhaps he is only taking time to carefully consider all the options and decide how best to explain things. I don't know. All I or any of us can do at this point is to wait.

If Ron says it's temporary, we should trust that it's temporary until otherwise stated by him. When/If you never become a mod again, we'll know Ron for the lying scoundrel he's always been!!!

Ron's in a position of authority, he doesn't have to explain things, so he has no reason to make it seem temporary for the sole purpose of biding his time. He could've just said "Beeble's no longer a mod and never again will be. Nothing serious, just issues with his moderation style conflict with how I'd like my site moderated."

Maybe he's just taking his time so he can make a list of things you need to change. Or maybe he's just taking his time so that you'll float around forever pondering the things you may or may have not done wrong, so that when he makes you moderator again, you'll be super self-concious for fear of losing your powers again.

Either way, have faith in the ronman.

If that's the way he does things, he can just kiss my ass. I'm not saying he does, of course. As I said, I don't know the reasons he hasn't responded to me, even privately, which is why I said all I can do is to wait. But, the longer he forces me to wait, the more frustrating it gets. Eventually, I'm going to say "fuck it" and go elsewhere. Maybe that's what he wants. Whatever. Either way. Plenty of other message boards out there.

Yes, Ron removed it. He said he felt it was a bit too authoritarian. I had no problem with that. I thought it was needed to address an increasing problem here and he felt otherwise. I don't care to speculate publicly whether this precipitated his decision to remove me from moderation duties, although I cannot imagine why it would be an issue. As always, I was and am perfectly willing to defer to him as the final arbiter of any and all decisions to be made here, and I said as much to him, more than once.
