Making newer, better, more efficient marijuana..

I was thinking about this after i saw this guys thread on how one day marijuana can grow wild.

and i got to thinking.. You know how scientists genetically engineer food to taste better, grow at certain times, etc.

What if scientsts started doing that with marijuana... Make it REALLY potent.. and who knows.. maybe theres genes involved in growth frequency, making more grow at faster rates, making the price of weed go down. Or like, weed that doesnt let out a conspicuous smell.

I know thats why strains exist. But those are made from crossing different strains.

I'm talking about getting into the nitty gritty ... the microbiology labs tweaking marijuana genes n so forth.

    anyone know about this?

yes it is possible...but would take loads of scientist and money...which couldnt be allocated for the project unless weed was legalized.

People are already doing it...back in the 60's (way before my time) weed was maybe a quarter as potent as is it now (% THC)...there were no such things as strains...people have put a lot of time and money into engineering the dank ass shit we smoke now

It's not 4x as potent now..when the potency was meausred, it was used with 70s brick weed stored in police lockers, versus some dank weed from today. You get the picture.

And yes, there are different strains, it's plant genetics, they can mix different strains together to produce results..you should have learned about male and female seeds in basic biology. So basically, all this could be done, if it were legalized. But that's not looking good, so don't look forward to that happening in the US. But now Canada..theyr'e close to legalizing it. So maybe something like that will happen there. All we can do now is smoke dank buds, and hope.
