hi all, when watering your plants is it best to water around the stem, or away from the stem so the roots will seek out the water?

Top of the soil, you could also take a very clean spray bottle and fill it up with water and spray your plants and then water your soil for it to soak in.

If you want to grow larger flowers or buds.....it is best to water from the roots up!
Mind you a little work must be done to protect the roots from light and they must have a medium to anchor themselves to....like lava rock....
Water feeding from the bottom will control the growth of roots so they are busy feeding not busy growing.
When roots are growing furiously, the tops arent.
Again, my opinion...and my grow mentor's.
I think I wouldnt water during flower any other way. It works.
