I think you do not understand the foundation of Masonry. It is a "secret society" only in the sense that knowledge the specific nature of the rituals and practices involved is restricted to the membership. There is no effort to restrict entry into the Society; all one need do is ask someone who is a Mason to introduce them. You may have seen signs outside of Masonic temples saying "2 B 1 Ask 1".
