I think it means high school students are finding their way in life figuring out who they are. Lots of experimenting in general happens in high school. Also money is no doubt a larger issue with a 16 y.o. who at best can have a part time job during school. If they have any expenses the money left for recreational drug use is rather limited. Obviously there are still plenty who make it work one way or another, but I sure as hell know I couldn't afford to smoke every day in high school if I wanted to...

true lol my towns pretty small, and its red-neck as it gets =\ one of a handful of schools in cali where you can learn to raise a farm animal and sell it to a butcher haha and my last year there was only 6 black kids in the whole town haha

at our school, my town is umm... full of overprotective mothers.
i know kids who arn't allowed to see pg-13 movies till they turn 13, and arn't allowed to hangout afterschool on weekdays ... blah blah blah

my towns kind of full of stuck up rich people, well at least half of my town is. With rich people comes drug problems... especially alcahol lol

My high school had 2 black kids and 1 puerto rican in a school of around 1500. Imagine the shock. I moved away from a middle school where 65% of the students were black. Needless to say the racism was pretty bad in high school.
