My mum called me outside, so i went out, she said "get a chair" and i said "I know what's coming now". She proceeded to tell me that ALL cannabis users eventually go on to heroin, i told her that a few do, 'cause cannabis is a weak "drug" (if you can even class it as a drug) and she said that she's only looking out for me, and doesn't want me dying on heroin OD as she "knows" that if i don't stop toking now i will be a junkie in a year or 2 (stupid cunt, i was being sooo nice to her, went shopping with her, carried 8(!!!) full bags of shopping and didn't leave any for her to carry to be kind).
So she gives me an article from a newspaper saying that all cannabis users get mental health problems (article was titled "Cannabis users end up in psychiactric ward" and her telling me that i would be a horrible person if i continued!
Then she says there'll be trouble if she EVER smells or finds any cannabis again, i mean wtf! She then asked which of my friends smoke (by this point i was shaking with anger, as all the BS she said, i was trying to tell her the truth, but she wouldn't listen, i even asked her to read the FAQ on this site, and she said, "No, that's just a pothead's opinion on there".
There's no reasoning with her, i used to have respect for her and my dad, but realise they are very close minded, and dumb as fuck for all the heroin and junkie comments they gave me!

Sorry for the ranting, but i ended up storming off when she raised her voice, telling the whole street (both next door neighbours were in the gardens) that i smoke weed, and am going to be a junkie in a year or 2. She has pissed me off sooo badly, and my parents will give me like one word answers to anything i say for at least a week now, they fuckin' suck, they need to understand and chill the fuck out a bit!
Also my dad didn't get involved that much when i quoted facts about alcohol being worse than weed, as he drank about 10 bottles of stella last night when a mate was round..
Any ideas how to get them to CHILL THE FUCK OUT?!

Also the other night my mum came back from work accusing me of drinking, saying my eyes looked funny and red and glazed, so i said i had been sleeping (which i had about an houe or 2 earlier). So when she was coming out with all her bullshit she said "You know the other night when i said your eyes looked funny? (muttering under heard breath, i bet you don't remember) well i know for a fact you were absolutely off your head that night, you were drugged up a lot, and it has to stop, as the effects won't be as good soon and you will find something harder (hence the heroin part, bitch!)

Yeah, i'm going to carry on, and show them that i didn't die from an OD and never did anything stronger than weed or shrooms. They can kiss my ass. Also my parents are hooked on caffiene so i'm going to bring that up next time they put our weed down. The other night my mum had like 4 cups of coffee in an hour, so i said, "why do you need to keep drinking coffee?" and all she could say was "I don't, i just like it" and then walked away and couldn't back up why she always drinks tea and coffee (they taste like shit, only ever had a sip of each to try them, and make your breath all horrible and shitty smelling, it sucks). They are making their 2nd cup each in the past half an hour

She better had learn the truth, like someone said ages ago, i want to make some brownies and get my parents high, so they know what it feels like, but there would be a hell of a lot of trouble if i did. I'll see how things go.
Tea and coffee aren't bad, but drinking them constantly in the middle of the day (i'd only use them to stay awake lol) sucks a bit. Also my dad had nothing to say when he heard me tell my mum that alcohol is worse for you (i used to drink like an alcoholic, but gave up, and have been drunk a hell of a lot less now, i used to drink every day, now i'd be lucky to even have one bottle of beer in a week, so i cut down loads on that) and so he must know that it isn't as bad as my mum thinks.. Maybe because he used to smoke cigs, and probably weed back in the day, but has never admitted to it (i saw a pic of him with a fag in his mouth and my mum explained that he used to smoke, but stopped when my older brother was born, well concieved lol)

There is no evidence that smoking marijuana leads to the use of harder drugs. In the first place, it is chemically illogical that the consumption of any drug could give someone the craving for another drug they have never had.

When the Marihuana Tax Act was first passed in 1937, Harry Anslinger, then head of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics testified before Congress and was asked specifically if there was any association between the use of marijuana and the use of harder drugs. He replied specifically that there was no such connection and that the users of the different types of drugs commonly did not associate with each other.

This myth arose in the 1950's when it became apparent that the old motives for the law against marijuana would no longer be viable. It was then that Anslinger contradicted his earlier testimony and started saying that marijuana led to harder drugs. This change occurred most prominently in the hearings for the Boggs Act of 1951, after a series of doctors had just destroyed everything Harry Anslinger had said about marijuana in 1937.

all you can do is take it easy for a while dude and try and educate her a lil bit on the facts...but remember she is only doing what she believes is best for her kid..and that is somthing your just gonna have to deal with till you move out..if you really want to prove your point then try and make a improvement in your school grades this year and for gods sake stay the fuck away from any harder drugs...the only way we will ever prove to people that cannibis is safe ..is to work hard and become succesful productive caring members of our communitys ....
