I can tell you that Fedex and UPS (at least as of 2003, not sure about today) is MUCH safer for mailing questionable items.

1. They do not X-Ray boxes at the sorting facilities (recieving may depending on where you go).

2. DEA/FAA never checks parcel flights out of airports.

3. Most of the time commercial shipping outlets don't even think about checking packages for questionable items.


Really, if you're ever going on vacation or something and want to take a little with you for the trip, wrap it in some bubble wrap and throw it into a box with some shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc (other things you might need for the trip but won't be upset if it's drop kicked off the back of a UPS truck) and ship it to yourself at the hotel.
