    The Shift From Hell

Yeah so I just got back from what was quite possibly my worst day at work, ever. Just to remind everyone I work as a dishwasher at a fancy restaurant.

Well to start with as soon as I walked in I noticed that there was a feeling of tension in the room. It was so thick you could cut if with a knife, everyone was in a bad mood for whatever reason. One of the ladies who's there in the morning was all friendly with me, then as soon as my boss walked in she started yelling at me about what a crappy job I was doing. Confused the hell out of me and pissed me off. If she had a problem she could have just told me beforehand.

Then I dumped scalding water all over the front of my pants and had to change. I had really bad back pain all day and the work just kept coming. As soon as I would start to make progress someone would walk in with a billion dishes and dump them on me. The dishwasher sprang a huge leak and the floor was all slippery. I had to take the garbage out in the middle of the busiest hour (just before my shift ended), and there were people pushing me out of the way every 5 min. To top it off taking the garbage out took me so long that a huge load of dishes was left for the guy after me (who I like a lot), and he was pissed about that.

It was so bad that when I got home to find my gf naked in my bed waiting for me, I was too sore and irratated to be in the mood. That lasted about 20 mins. Thats a lot considering I'm 17.

Well sorry to bore you all I just had to vent. If anyone else has worst-day-at-work stories I'd be happy to hear 'em.

    Peace love and understanding.

it could be worse... you could of had to close the restaurant!

my week sucked. I administrate a suite of online products where i work. I am a member of the 3 man helpdesk. And basically, one higher up person in IT rolled a major change into production without notifying any other departments, or any clients.

Thus it created a firestorm of raw feces, in which the HEADS of companies (CEOs DBA's and stuff) were calling me telling me where i can stick my product... well in office talk anyway.

so i am pretty stressed- ya...

Sounds like every fucking day at the worst job I ever had -- dishwasher at a crappy local restaraunt. Nothing is worse than washing a shitton of dishes, and marvel at the empty sink, then have someone dump yet another shitton in the sink.

maybe he is making reference to a fire that started in the kitchen due to him being outside smoking crack?
