It does not matter if I accept Jesus, if Christianity is true I am going to hell simply because I am an atheist. According to Matthew 12:31
"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men."

I have committed the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost (by asserting that such an entity does not exist), therefore I am doomed to everlasting punishment if the Bible is true, no matter if I am "saved" or what.

P.S. I don't think any being with a sense of what is just would make it so that "u only have to be ur self to go to hell". What kind of sick creature would give people free will and then punish them for having individuality?

If the bible is true than so is All the other religions and im afraid of the Egyptian and Greek hells the most , so I'll worship them and sacrifice lamb's and food to one and oils grains and perfumes to the other.

Ermi hit it dead on as usual. Apparently theres a population limit on heaven anyway and with all the "good christians" im sure its full by now so even the nowaday good christians are "boned" .

It's the dumbest thing I'v ever heard.
Sorry if that's offensive, it's just my oppinion. Go ahead and take it with a grain of salt.
But what "God" that is so loving and forgiving, would have a hell to send his "children" to.
Also, why did "God" have to send his only begotten son to die on the stake to wash away our sins? If he's "God" why couldn't he just do it himself. Seems pretty fucked up thing to do to your son, don't you think?
I'm not denying Jesus ever existed, it's obvious a man named Jesus did and he did alot of amazing things. However, many many many people died in the fashion he did back then, it was not uncommon. He just happened to be glorified for it.
Also, if "God" created us and he is all powerful and knowing, then wouldn't he have known that we were going to turn out the way we did?
Or if he is so great, couldn't he have created human beings that weren't going to do the things we do????

If you could give me logical answers to these questions, I would be impressed. However I've found most Christians, are so blinded by faith, these questions, they feel do not need to be answered. You just have to have "Faith".
Well good luck with keeping the "Faith".

Actually, that verse I cited from the Bible has caused fear and regret in millions of Christians throughout history, who thought they might have committed the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost and therefore would burn in Hell forever. And the Bible is not necessarily a good guide to a healthy, moral life. It promotes hateful ideas, such as murder, violence and sexism:

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

God orders genocide against a people whose ancestors got in the way of the Israelites crossing the desert hundreds of years ago. Good going, "Almighty".

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

The just punishment for kids teasing someone with insults is, of course, to send bears to rip them apart.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

This was said by Jesus, who we're all supposed to believe came to send peace on earth.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, ... nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

Note the word 'wife' and not 'spouse'; wives are the property of husbands in Biblical society, and God is A-OK with that.

In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

Of course, women are all fragile scared creatures right?

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

Here they just come out and say it: women are to be the slaves of men.

And last but not least, SLAVERY! There are numerous instances of slavery being mentioned in the Bible, and not one passage where God condemns the practice.

And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof: No stranger, foreigner, slave, or uncircumcised person can eat the passover.

But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

If God is handing out ordinances of what to do with your servant bought for money, and those ordinances aren't along the lines of "you should free your bought servants", then he is condoning slavery.

And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.

Slave thieves are condemned by God, not because they are perpetuating slavery, but because they deprive slave-owners of property.
