potlox Reviewed by potlox on . early sexin.. Ok well I have a 3 part system. One half of my closet is clones and the other half is mothers. I have a 8000 lumen new wave t5 for 2 mothers and a 4000 lumen for the clones. The my other closet is the flowering room wich runs a 400watt hps. Anyways. I was growing my mother Grand daddy Purple and it was in the early stages so i had cool light on it with the little t5 wich is 4000 lumens. It got too big for the light and it started devouring all the space in the closet trying to suck Rating: 5

Um.. zandor, or latewood, or anyone that knows..

What does it mean in the flowering stage if the leave coming from the nug start turning yellow. And the big fan leaves portruding from the nugs are all dyeing off ina yellow color. PH is 5.5 - 6. PPM is 1400 with 3 part system. Wich is what the chart says is ok. ANything i might be doing wrong or need to be doing so the leaves dont curl and droop and change color. Anyways. I took this pics with the light off, cuase right when i got home the fucking light went out. Perfect timing eh?

Yellow during flower cycle is tricky to deal with. Most of the time you compare the leaves around the one in question. If the others leaveâ??s are fine and the plant looks fine then there is no problem. The plant will use up some leaves and they will turn yellow. Just pick them off and don't worry it natural.

At that stage you really judge the plant as a whole and not by individual leaves just watch new growth and see how they look. I don't mean to wait to long to act if there is a problem just don't over react.

Well yeah, its only a few leafs, but it is like on every nog..
Plus on like one of the big buds that are grwing, the tiny leaves coming out of it are yellow. I have pretty much dismissed that it is going to be a problem untill i saw the little ones turning yellow out of the buds, gettting me worried...

do a good flush then and go back to a full NPK mix for a session or two. You should see a change in about 48 hours or so in Hydro.

Im thinking that it could be the roots are too big for the pot. I didnt have the biggest pot for how big the plant was. So i transplanted it into a bigger bucket so the roots can expand more. Could the plants have been getting dehydrated becuase of the smaller pot? And a side note... i clip my mothers alot. Is it true that the more you clip them then they can become hermaphrodite easier? or is that myth?

Depends on your description of "clip then a lot" each time you clip you are stressing the plant. If you cut it up to bad then yes you can shock the plant and it can turn hermie. More if the temperature gets out of hand. You need to leave plenty of green leaves left on mother to help keep her from shocking and each time you clip her she needs a good healthy feeding full NPK with B1. You don't need superthrive or anything like that your roots are fine you need to give mother a good dinner to say thank you.

Ok so these are the plants, 30 days in the flowering. A fulll month. Thanks zandor for the advice, my plant is looking nicer, however it does seem to be turning orange a little quicker.

And on another not. I recieved the seed of this plant in an 1/8th that i obtained from the medical marijuana dispensary. AThe pot was named "grandaddy purple" and there was purple leaves all over the bud. I got 3 seeds from the sac and 2 sprouted into plants. This plant has been flowering for 30 days and it is not purple at all. Yet the other seed from the very same sack has fan leaves turning really purple in the veg stage. My question is how come the grandaddy purple that i smoked had purple all over it, but the buds that im growing are not turning purple?
