    early sexin..

Ok well I have a 3 part system.
One half of my closet is clones and the other half is mothers.
I have a 8000 lumen new wave t5 for 2 mothers and a 4000 lumen for the clones.

The my other closet is the flowering room wich runs a 400watt hps.

Anyways. I was growing my mother Grand daddy Purple and it was in the early stages so i had cool light on it with the little t5 wich is 4000 lumens.

It got too big for the light and it started devouring all the space in the closet trying to suck up all the lumens away from the other plants that were in there with it. SO that is when i bought the bigger version of the light.
A week later i cloned it about 4 times and used the little light for the clones.
However about a week after i put the new light on the plant was about 2 months old just loving life in the veggie stage.

pistils were coming out at the nodes all over the plant even though i was in 18-6 light schedule... i thought it wasnt possible to sex the plant until you change the light?? is this not true? anyways im not worried about it cuase now that Purple People Eater is budding in its lonesome with a 400watt in a dripp system. Its F***ing huge. And all the little gdaddy clones are thriving. But my question is..............

Is pistils normal even if you are in the veggi stage??
If not is it possible for me to expect this from any other plants that i might have switched the light on from cool to warm?? or like... Dam i love my babies they are pretty, i will post some pics sometime soon. THanks.

Im no pro but i have been growin on and off for a few years, so 1 thing i can tell you is no you dont need to switch the light cycle to start pistils growin. I always see pistils in veg wen the plants a foot or 2 big,, depends which breed you have i guess to what size they start showing at.

yeah i guess that makes a lil more sense than what im thinkin.. But i was stoned as shit trippin on it ahahah. But i guess i thought the only way to tell the plant's sex was clone it and then flower it, or just flower it in general.

They are preflowers. Most plants will get them around the 5th to 6th internode or about a month into vegging. You're lucky it could have been balls.

use General Hydroponics "Floraliscious". It's compatible with the 3-part system and they publish how much to use and when along with the 3-part. I use Hygrozyme too, it's a root treatment ensuring the best regeneration of root matter, and utilization of old root matter. Be careful though, don't fix anything that's not broken. The introduction of organics and root stimulants to your chemical nutrient resevoir can turn things on a dime if you don't watch it (pH levels for instance), but they have magic shit in to make the plants grow to their potential.

General Hyfroponics has tested and true nutrient regimes including their own supplements and foliar spray. Although GH is not crop specific to marijuana like Canna Nutrients or other big dogs, I would venture to say that it has what it takes to do the job. If you read a lot on this message board, you will get some great advice.
ALso, there are 4 or 5 "recipes" you can use just using your 3-part system that are different then the bottle suggests. These recipes are tried and true for marijuanja such as the "Lucas Formula". Do a search on the message board for "Lucas formula" and you will probably get the page with 5 links to 5 different ways to use the 3-part for growing your own.

If you can't find it, then just ask Zandor.

    Peace out homey

I'm not sure if you are using the three part system according to the bottle or the nutrient feeding chart as posted on their website. The one on the website tells what supplements to use and when. The GH supplements contain things that the 3-part does not provide. I would guess that the Lucas formula or similar has the right levels of stuff you need for growing pot if you were just using the 3-part and nothing else. It's your decision as to where you want to go from here. I would switch to one of those recipes now, while your plants are young, if you aren't going to use supplements for this grow. If you want to start getting into Floraliscious, Diamond Nectar, Florasheild (All by GH), I would stick to the chart on the website. At least we know those "official" feeding mixes they instruct you to use are tried and true. I don't like to take risks, especially when It's a 3.5 month project. A prescribed method is good enough for me. I'm prescribing to the FloraNova feeding chart to the exact mililiter, with 3 more non-GH supplements. It's a lot of stuff to have (about 9 different quarts of stuff all about $20 US average.) Like anyhthing else though, the more you put into it, the more you get out. Don't think though that with all that stuff it makes it any easier, on the contrary, I keep a very close watch on things. I just like the security of knowing I've given it my best.

another great additive that would compliment your growwould be the addition of liquid karma, It has fulvic and humic acids as well as alot of other beneficial organics you could just add this to keep it simple...go read about it, Botanicare makes it, or you can stick with GH products...I think Zandor uses B1 and calmag+...just a couple of suggestions.
