Where is it safer to smoke pot?

ya I live in toronto, canada and theres some pretty sick spots there if you were ever visiting...There's a place called kensington market in toronto which is basically a bunch of rastas and stoners selling stuff and people smoke everywhere - they've even got a weed-friendly café called "The Hotbox Café" connected to the head shop named "Roach-o-Rama" I bought my last quart from a random guy in an anarchists bookclub :S

i got 'detained' for several hours in virginia due to about 3 grams of weed and some other goodies (gb caps n a ghetto blaster) and had 10 hrs community service lost my license for 6 months

but then again im a minor and it was a first offense

forgot to mention i was high as a bitch... they made my dad drive up to where i got arrested (i was driving when i got pulled over) and the cop let me follow my dad home in my jeep

I live in Canada, but I have been to the USofA before in Seattle. I couldn't smoke in the open as much as I can here. I can sit here in my city and smoke a bowl in a park about 3 blocks from a cop shop. They don't come around much and don't really care too much about it. It's nice. A joint you can smoke walking downtown because it looks like a cig, or act like it is one.

I'm in Toronto, AFAIK the official law is 1.5g or under all you get is a fine. But in reality, a fine is quite rare

Is it safer to smoke pot in Canada or the US? I've heard Canada is a lot more lenient that the US but I'm curious. I live in Ohio and here you can have quite a bit and only get a ticket. It's like 100g or something. But that's just Ohio. I've heard of other states where you can face jail time for your first offense. So where is it safer here or Canada? If it's safer in Canada can you explain their basic laws on it?

Yea I live in ohio (marion) and I've been to comfest (hippie activist fest) and they sell bowls, bongs (saw a 11 footer there) right out in the open, you can walk around and pick up the sent of weed everywhere, cops don't care, there is also a hooka fest (waiting to see what that is like)

If you go to the norml site you can find arrest data maps, columbus is in franklin county and has one of the lowest arrest rates for posesssion, marion is in the same rate group, but we have a lower population...

As for canada, its damn near legal, I think one good NORML rally there will push it over to all out legal, road trip next summer for sure!
