Yes you are entitled to your opinion of course. And its welcomed , of course.
However an informed opinion is more respectable than what you have presented us with.

I for one think we need to band together as marijuana smokers during high-profile cases like this, to show the world that we're still out there and we're still unhappy with the status quo. If we really want any chance of getting rid of these stupid laws, we have to make sure people know we don't think it's okay to punish somebody for having a plant. Wherever the marijuana question is raised in the public debate, we should be there urging people to stop treating us like criminals. This is no exception.

The biggest thing is that Emery never hid the fact that he ran an export seed company. The Canadian government taxed his seed company knowing he probably exported south of the boarder. Marc is whining about anything. He is prepared to be a martyr for the whole cannabis community. Personly, I don't think we should let him fall without each of us fighting with him. How can we share his lifestyle then turn a blind when the most outspoken cannabis reformer is arrested, infringing on the Canadian government. I seriously doubt that he will be extradited to the US. Canada has a way of not extraditing people to countries where the punishment is worse than their own.

Exactly. Cannabis users have the problem of just letting whatever happen happen. Very few are really for the liberation of the sacred herb and really only want to get stoned. Thats all well and good, but with Marc Emery being arrested, we have a chance to force reform laws all over the country. If Canada can stand up to the US, then the whole cannabis nation can do it as well.

So I am curious how it is so obvious to me that ive never done a days jail?? hmmm?? And how, please tell, does the amount of jail time ive done qualify or disqualify the validity of my position in this debate?
And how does your jail time served make your inaccurate statements accurate?
And, Mr Emery has done more for me already than you seem to be capable of understanding with lack of knowledge of the bigger picture.
Its not about one man anyway. Why cant you get it?
Please take a moment to read a few pages about him, laws, med pot, freedom, and youll have a better idea why we feel the way we do. Or , just toke up while we fight for your right to do so.
