    my room is pretty messy, probably the messiest in my house, and I swear to god I have never once seen a cockroach in my room. It's not dirty with food or anything...just dust and whatnot...But I have never seen a cockroach in my room. My mom has seen one in her room and so has my sister, but never for me. :/ Are they repelled by incense or smoke in general, because I always have something burning in my room. Maybe that's why I never see them in there?

    historically people burned lavender oil because it repeled fleas (they even used lavender for the black death) so it wouldn't be surprising if it kept them away.;

    plus they are light sensitive, when you are burning things you are probably awake, or at least have some light source, they hate light!

    *edit* not to freak you out or anything, but the reason you may not have seen them could also be BECAUSE you have a messy room. More stuff for the little guy to hide under!
    \"Bother said poo.\" as he chambered another round.

    ok i had this problem....and if im lying im dying this is the honest to god truth... one morning i was lying in bed and a cockroach crawled acroos my chest. so i threw him off me and he landed in my trash basket...so anyway you cant have a good day after that unless you wake n bake....so i did. anyway about half way through a bowl i started blowin smoke at the roach. after about 4 hits he stop tryin to get out so i picked him up and we just kinda chilled. me and the roach. both stoned. then i took him outside and put him under a bush. we have never seen eachother again. which is sad cuz he was a great smokin buddy.. always let me take greens. anyway. find a roach and get high with it. it will be better.

    LOL, what WeBB was funny.

    Anyway, this is odd that this thread is here. About 4 days ago it was about 2:30 pm I felt my hair blowing on my face from my fan. So, I go to move it and I pick it up and it feels DIFFERENT, so I squish and it makes the squishy squishy noise. I'm like, "WTF?!" So I get up really quick and realize I'm holding some bug in my hand! I go to look at it and I don't know if its a cockroach or not.
    It was really light brown, and I read that cockroaches are either dark brown or light brown when they're really small. This guy was full grown. It wasn't big by any means, but it wasn't small like the pictures. There are albino cockroaches which are white, but mine was still tan. So, I don't know what it was. My entire famiyl said it wasn't a roach, but then my friend said it was just a waterbug, too. But, then he said that it was a roach because he flipped it over and it had these

    / \

    black things that were shaped like that (put the roach body, fipped over, inside those two arrow thingies) near its hind end. He said thats how you could tell.

    But, I don't know. I have been looking everywhere and I can't find a picture of a roach that was the same color. I also pulled out my bed and looked under it and shit. I dont' have any food or anything, I also didn't so any roaches. But, I do leave empty cups in here for a few days. Sometimes I'll leave an empty bowl of cereal (with the milk DRANK) in here overnight. I always pick shit up when I wake up, so I don't know.

    I'm still freaked out enough to turn on my mini-lamp when I sleep. Well, actually, last night I was really baked and decided to go ahead and use the mini-lamp because the thought of a roach crawling into my mouth or laying its eggs in my cornea wasn't exactly the greatest. So, I set it up on my twirly, leather chair beside me, and covered it halfway up with a black shirt. Light was shined directly on my face and arms so as to make sure they don't get near me brain!

    Cockroaches are among the most common insects. Based on fossil evidence, roaches are known to have been present on Earth for over 300 million years.
    3500 species of cockroaches about 60 species are found in the United States

    For anyone who wants a quick fix, grab your vaccum cleaner with the nozzle attachments. Just suck the little mothafucker up... no more messy bug splats, no more getting up close and wondering "did I get it?" only to pull the tissue back and see his ass scurry away... I'm pretty baked now, but it's always worked for me. Then just empty the vaccum container outside in the garbage.
