Well, here is my introduction: I'm from Smalltown, Texas...also known as the middle of no where! But it's nice, no one cares if you're stoned as hell all the time. Texas Stoner, I figure there are two big reasons why people here are much more paranoid than in California. First of all, this is big time Bible Belt country. Half my neighbors would call the cops and CPS if they thought I smoked weed. The other part is that the laws for possesion are much tougher than in CA. First of all, don't get caught with more than 2 oz, because that make it a felony. Secondly, don't get caught anywhere near a school or playground with any quantity whatsoever. Get caught with a joint at a school and that is a felony. Also selling any quantity is also a felony.

I'm no expert on the law, but I think that's a pretty accurate assessment.
