Im sick of pirating stuff anyways

Nauticom or whoever told me to remove jackass from my shared files and probably gave me a warning. Does this apply to just not removing jackass or all of the pirated stuff? Anyways I was just thinking about it and I really don't care for all these mp3's anyway I would rather just buy the CD because they sound better and I'm supporting the band though I don't care as much about this aspect.

please keep pirating. it's not like these musicians aren't already filthy fucking rich. sure i understand your logic, but if it wasn't for piracy i wouldn't even be able to appreciate my favorite bands music. i'm sorry, but i can't afford to buy all the cd's that i've compiled from piracy.

me neither, my mp3 collection is probably worth hundreds even thousands. and with the software i have... easily thousands. nothin wrong with pirating, they should not be able to sell data.

if you can post in this forum , you can download whatever you want. it just takes alittle patience to learn some things. but most ways of getting stuff is plain simple. you dont need a masters degree in rocket science.

Back up early and often. I lost my 5000+ mp3 collection to a hard drive crash. Not to mention alot of pirated software. I've recovered all of the software that I wanted back but I will never find some of those mp3's. Luckily I had about 2000 of them backed up on CD's but had my stoner ass backed up 2x a year, I would have had over 90 percent of them.

you can easily download mp3s with a bitrate of 320kbps and it will sound just as good as CD unless your a mega audiophile

It's called "torrent" downloading. Check out a program called "BitTorrent". Basically a P2P file sharing program, except you can send MASSIVE files like movies and games. It's faster, it's completely free, and not too many people are trying to prosecute for that yet..

    I suggest a look. Then, try www.torrentspy.com, www.torrentbox.com, www.mininova.org, etc.

Also, I just have one thing to say about the piracy issue:

Years ago, people read books instead of watching movies or listening to mp3s (hard to believe, I know). These books cost money, and the writers were supposed to be making money by selling these books. There are also these places, called "libraries", in which people could read the books (essentially taking everything from them they would normally pay for) without paying for them, making the potential profit to writers completely null and void. No copyright problems, no prosecution, no bullshit.

Pirating music is much the same as checking books out from the Library. It's true, you get to keep what you download, but with the inconsistency of hard drives today, and taking into consideration how often they crash, most files are temporary at best (besides, artist make their money from concerts, unequivocally. CD sales constitute pennies for musicians, so pirate your asses off). INFORMATION SHOULD BE FREE.

And fuck George Lucas and Lars Ulrich.
