    I am using duct tape on the top of res now.. Untill I can get 25 ft of mylar.
    Temps seem to only get to 85 on real hot days. At night goes down to 70 deg...

    That temperature should be fine, lower then 85 would be good but 85 is fine it's just at the top range of the scale.

    curling upward leaves usually means mag deficiency in my experience.
    Healthy green plants like you have can usually tolerate an enormous amount of Mg. Epsom salts are your source, available at any grocery, cheap as dirt.
