The fact is YOU DONT KNOW FOR CERTAIN. This hippy midwife DOESN'T KNOW FOR CERTAIN. You are gambling with your child's future (since nobody knows for certain the dangers of smoking) and justifying yourself to ease your own mind for getting your fix during your pregnancy.

I personally believe your baby will probably be healthy even if you indulge yourself and forgo your self-control because you need to be stoned so badly. But I dont believe you are mature, responsible, or selfless. Based on the decision you have divulged to us, it does make me wonder about your ability to be a good mother, because it doesn't seem as though you have the maturity or good sense to put your child's best interests first. I understand you're 19 and in the "ME!" years, but you're pregnant, so I hate to break it to ya, but you forfeited the right to be selfish when you decided to become a mother.
