I am about two months pregnant and while I'm cutting back, I will continue to smoke. All of the studies can kiss my ass...I know from personal experience. My mother is 41 and she has been smoking since she was 13 (including while she was pregnant with me and with my brother). We were both healthy happy babies. I learned very fast...talking at 8mths, reading and spelling at 2 or 3. Writing, Math, and General Science at 4. I Rating: 5

I'd just like to point out that we "dont know for certain" about alot of the drugs that are given to pregnant women.

I for one had a mom that was totally clean and i still turned out weird. =P

But uhh, yeah to be on the safe side, you prolly shouldn't smoke, or do any drug that you dont absolutely have to. (That includes antidepressants, as they are far less safe than cannabis.)

Not to come off as harsh but did you even read her post starting the thread? It doesn't sound at all like she is intending to smoke to help ease unpleasant symptoms during her pregnancy - that was just an extra bonus she discovered in that article she posted later. She very much sounded like she intends to use recreationally.

The post starting this thread was very much like "Fuck what people say, fuck research, Im gonna do what I want! My mom did it while pregnant with me and see! I'm not retarded!" While then proceeding to provide us with pointless examples and accomplishments which prove nothing other than she isn't thinking too deeply about this. But it does open the argument that maybe she could have been a brain surgeon had her mother not been sucking on the peace pipe during her pregnancy - which is about as factual as the things she was attempting to pass off as convincing arguments.

If she decides to smoke, fine. But dont try to convince others and yourself that it is harmless because your 19 years of "experience" tells you so. I just would hate to see her baby end up with problems because she continually convinced herself that smoking is perfectly safe with arguments that are pure nonsense.

Exactly what I was gonna say. Even though i AM a stoner, I realize that marijuana publications are full of shit for the most part.

Face it, it's probably not good to inhale the smoke of burning plants, be it Marijuana or oak leaves! More proof that having a baby at 19 is a baaaaad idea. Why can't people be more careful? Ya know it's an actual human being you are brining into the world. Not a little puppy or toy.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but regardless of whether or not marijuana hurts an unborn child, your doctors and the police are not going to be very pleased at all if it shows up in your system while you're pregnant. People lose their children very frequently over positive drug screens, so if you love your child, then think of it before yourself. Hope the pregnancy goes well, but do not do any drugs while pregnant. Jesus, maybe I'm getting old but it seems like just a minimal amount of common sense would tell you that.

This is a very good point. I personally know someone that had her kids taken away because she smoked weed. Of course it was her chickenshit husband that turned her in but the point is he got the kids becuase he did not smoke weed. He was a drunken bastard but that's ok under the law.

though midwives recommend using a vap. because smoke deprives the baby (and you) of oxygen. There is also something about smoking the last month of your pregnancy, I can't remember if they said it caused you to go into labor, or it stopped your labor, but you should check that out before month 9.

Good advice. More so would be the carbon dioxide from the actual smoke. You know that is there too? You would not be sucking the tailpipe of a car during preggers right? So, vaporizers are the thing. They are sweet and right to the point. You will LOVE it. Even in moderation you will love it.

My suggestion is the Vrip. If you dont have the money get Eagle Bills, it actually works if your careful. Best of luck!
