    small growroom strategy question..

You can grow nice plants using 18/6 for the whole life up to flower stage without any losses.

    small growroom strategy question..

So what are the advantages if any of 24/0?? If you suggest that you can grow "without any losses" seems like there aren't any advantages. Correct? Maybe different strains react differently?

    small growroom strategy question..

The lighting cycle debate has and will rage on for eternity.

Its a matter of belief and personal preference.

If you have any doubts as to whether the advise you get is correct...do a side by side grow and see for yourself.

I say the 18/6 grow will produce healthier, more robust and rounded plants with numerous growth sites.

But this is my observation and my opinion.

I beleive the plants need sleep and certain hormonal chemsitry takes place only in dark.

I also believe 24/0 cranks out more males because of this.

    These are my beliefs...

Soon it will be my proven results and studies with just such a demonstration being prepared.

But for now, its pure conjcture.

Well I did a grow with two plants on 24/0 and they both turned out male so will do this one with 4 plants (so far) with 18/6.

    small growroom strategy question..

I have done it both way's over the last 20 years and my preference is 24/7 for veg cycle. There is no stress on the plant caused by 24/7 lights. Just look to Alaska and see how well their outdoor plants do when the sun does not set.

It does cost more money to grow 24/7 is it worth it? Only you can decide that either way the plant will grow.

    small growroom strategy question..

Zandor, do u have the lights on 24/7 for the whole veg cycle or just the seedling stage? My lights r on 24/7 & I'm at day 26 from seed & I'm thinkin about whether to change to 18/6 or leave at 24/7.
