People can 'debate' the legitamacy of this "War on Terrorism" all they want. There is just too much bull to form any conclusions about Bush solely on his foreign policy, and that policy may very well suck, that isn't what concerns me.

The dislike for Bush came up inside me long before this bullshit. It came initially from him saying "there ought to be limits to freedom" in response to a website that criticized his past drug use. I am confident that I have said this in posts long ago, but I shall reinstate. Anybody who says "There ought to be limits to freedom" in response to a website excersizing the basic right of freedom of speech in a "democracy" otherwise known as the United States should not be the fucking president.
Take a look at texas, with is high incarceration rates. Prisons full of people caught with even personal use amounts of drugs (most of them black), drugs that Bush himself admitted to doing. Every other drug user is evil and should face time in prison for a victimless crime, except if you're a member of the Bush family.
He steps up the War on Drugs, terrorizing medical marijuana patients. These people have terminal illnessess, Bush wants them in jail because the medicine they depend on the live isn't allowed in their own country.
He wont stop there, he'll send the DEA to Canada to bitch-whip the VPD. Put a man in prison for life, for selling marijuana seeds...from another country. Under the Patriot Act Mark Emery is another narco-terrorist. Right up there with the Columbian Cartels, which his administration has failed to stop. Sure he sprayed acres upon acres of good land with insecticides to, maybe, cut down the cocaine production. Why then has purity increased with availability and the lowest prices ever? Why is his solution to lay to waste more land?
What would be so hard about mandating even a 20/80 mix of biodiesel to petro?

The answer is that he's a dirty politician, and I doubt even amsterdam will deny that one. All of them are dirty though right?
It seems to me that Bush has just over-blown an already devastating national tradgedy to focus his administration on some fucked up foreign policy based on the classic shoot first ask questions later methodology. Good way to keep your eyes off the issues at home.
