first week of flowering (Grapefruit and Easy Bud)
41 DAYS FROM SEED, 11 DAYS OF FLOWERING.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN STRAINS!!!!
THE MIDDLE (SHORTY) IS MY EASY BUD FROM DR. CHRONIC. IT IS MUCH SHORTER THAN THE TWO GRAPEFRUIT BESIDE IT BUT VERY HEARTY AND STOUT. I'M VERY CAREFUL TO NOT LET THE GRAPES OVERTAKE IT AND BLOCK LIGHT. I'M CURIOUS TO SEE IT'S YIELD BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUSLY A COMPACT PLANT BUT NOTED TO BE A FAST MAXIMUM YIELDER. I AM LOOKING FOR A SHORT COMPACT PLANT WITH BIG YIELD FOR MY CABINET GROW.
THE GRAPES ARE REALLY AWESOME BUT MAY GET TALLER THAN I NEED. IF I GROW THE GRAPES AGAIN, I WILL FLOWER SOONER (2-3 WEEKS). I MAY HAVE TO BEND 'EM DOWN SOON AND TRY SCROGGING THEM.\"Smoke and a pancake? Bong and a blintz?

Very beautiful buds for 18 days of 12/12. I'm jalous. Expect a good yield but don't over feed them.

first week of flowering (Grapefruit and Easy Bud)
I have a cabinet setup with little height and some heat issues which I combat the best I can. I use a Hydrofarm 250W HPS with an exhaust fan. I didn't know these grapefruit would get so tall so I'm bending them down. The Fluoro in the back is a T5 High Output 96W with two blue spectrum tubes and two red spectrums for "general growth". They help light up the underside of the canopy which gets filled pretty dense. This is a new light to me, and It seems to do the plants well, even though it creates a tad bit more heat. As long as the branches aren't resting on it it's fine. I use Silica Blast and Cal-Mag plus for added protection to heat and stress. Here's a quick rundown of my equipment:
HYdrofarm 250W HPS w/ exhaust
American Hydroponics "Baby Bloomer" ebb n' flow
Hydroponics grow plugs (for seedlings)
Hydroton grow media
PinPoint (American Marine) constant pH monitor
seeds from Female Seeds .nl (Dr. Chronics seedbank)
T5 HO Fluoro 4 x 2'
CO2 injection system
RO water
Floranova grow & bloom
Floraliscious
Hygrozyme
Cal-Mag plus
Silica Blast
Chi Foliar spray
Diamond Nectar
Flora Sheild
dual-outlet airpump (aquarium style) w/ airstones
This is my 3rd grow ever. There's all the knowledge you need right here in these merssage boards. A few pieces of equipment, and the right nutrient regimen along with good quality genetics, and lots of attention did it for me.
Everyone should have the American Marine "Pinpoint" pH monitor. It's not expensive ($90 US). It runs on a 9V battery. It clears up the guess work and gives you total peace of mind with pH. If you use chemical and organic nutrients and supplements, you can have fast rising pH levels and an unstable resevoir condition. It can be as harmful as it can be helpful if not cared for properly. I have no resevoir issues anymore with the pH meter.\"Smoke and a pancake? Bong and a blintz?
