havin said all that usually our weather picks up this month weather rain r sun its still very warm toward the mid 2 end off the month and early sept, first 2 weeks, so its really aft that period im gonna have big probs. its a shed cinderblokes, corrugated iron roof and the window is boarded ovr with 1inch plyboard. so theres no insulation and the size is @ least 10 feet long 6 foot high and 6 wide, iv sectioned off my grow area down 2 1 1/2 meter long.with no insulation ill need 2 look at other ideas a convection heater?.

So many people have been super successful with 24/0 light that it's hard to argue that it doesn't work. But I've never seen a comparison between the growth of 18/6 and 24/0 so hard to say for sure.
Also if you're worried about the temp dropping too low, then the lights being on all the time is going to generate some heat which in turn will keep it warmer in the room than if they're off. Just a thought.

I'm using 18/6 for this grow. I used 24/0 for my first, but am going with Harddon's suggestion. Stress can cause a plant to become male. Not getting any break from light can stress plants. If there's even a fair chance that it's true, then I'm sure not risking two months of growing.
It just seems to make sense to reduce every possible risk of them growing balls. This is all just a goofy satire...sort of a National Lampoon thing and certainly only photos and ideas collected online.

9ski9,
So did you get all males when you used 24/0? I did but it was only two plants. So it might have been just the odds weren't in my favor.

Born 7/21/05, I'm doing weekly updates and she's 5x the size she was three days ago. I managed a little over an ounce from my first grow...this will be 1 pound. This is all just a goofy satire...sort of a National Lampoon thing and certainly only photos and ideas collected online.
