Had to have been about 20 flamingos flying in a sheet and all hittin my house at once. This was like a tree hitting the house, my fucking wall shook and it knocked down one of my buliten (sp?) boards.

this is extremly weird it just happend at like 1:12am, my phone will ring 1 time like every other day between 1am and 2am and it never rings more then once i will be sitting here and all a sudden ~RING~ and l will be like who the f*ck is calling this late then it will stop, does anyone know why this happens, oh and it only seems to be coming from this 1 phone down here i could be wrong becouse sometimes the one down here rings first then the others ring but i was just wondering if anyone knows why it does that?

Has someone close to you,died recently ? It could be someone trying to contact ya from the Other Side..they often use phones to send signals,they can affect anything electrical. I have a tv,given to me by an old lady that we used to take care of and it was acting very strangely,just after her death..and it still acts strange every so often,but not nearly as much as just after her death.

Someone else in this thread,mentioned that they had a loud,unexplained bang,that shook the house..spirits are capable of producing such effects,and there's a documented account of how an entire town,experienced a loud,unexplained bang..come to find out,it could have been caused by a lady who said that she was going out with a bang..and the bang occurred exactly at the moment of her passing. The town folk,thought that the loud bang,was some kind of a sonic boom from a jet or the shuttle,it was so loud,but the cops found out that there was no aircraft in the area that could have produced a sonic boom.

There are more things in Heaven and on Earth,than Man will ever know...

er...torog,stop smokeing for a while you sound like my uncle...he's a little nuts(no he's ACCTUALY nuts[thinks the earth was created 5000 years ago,thinks people live thousands of years "back then" because of a protective layer of water around the earth,has more guns the the texas national guard(and doesnt realize you can only shoot one at a time)thinks the government will come and get him one day)now dont get me wrong he's entitled to his opinion and i won't compromise that but he really shouldn't smoke as much as he does.and torog according to your bible "spirits" do not exist(the holy ghost is a manifestation of god not a human soul)but for all you or I know we're both wrong but i guess in the end it's about being a good person and helping others so it doesn't really matter if "ghost" exist or not

It is the phone company, testing the line for problems. See this Straight Dope article:

During off-peak hours a central-office computer goes around injecting a small voltage into each line to check transmission quality. The juice is too low to trigger a ring in most phones, but apparently a few are hypersensitive. The whole thing seems to have started when the phone company began replacing its old electromechanical switching equipment with new electronic stuff. Line testing on the old system never caused problems, but obviously the new system has a couple bugs. When the phone company suspended testing, the ghost rings stopped. When it started up again, the rings returned.

This signal in question is generated by a piece of equipment called a reflectometer, which sends a voltage pulse down a communications cable. By timing the pulse returns caused by impedance changes, the reflectometer can tell how far down the line a problem is, as well as the nature of the problem - whether it's a broken line, a failing connector or even a wiretap device. This signal won't interfere with most phones, but certain types have a ring circuit that is oversensitive. Normally, it takes approximately 90 VAC to trigger a ring, but some phones will trigger on less, hence the problem. The solution: try changing the phone.

Could be the phone company does maintainace around that time and it just wigs out your tele system in your house. Lol 1:00 am here is the fucking evil hour I swear something happens every god damn night at my house from 12:30 - 1:30 the worst was when something HIT my house, I wasn't high I was perfectly awake and all of a sudden BAM sounded like a tree hit my wall (that what i thought it was) well i run outside (the whole fucking house shook it even woke up my dad) but there was nothing outside, on the roof, nothing! it had just snowed and there werent any marks relativley close to the house either. And we dont have .25 sec earthquakes in Flagstaff Arizona believe me. My best guess is it was the foundation suddenly relieving some built up pressure but shit like that always happens around that time prolly just heat cycles that cause some strange shit...
