i did this.. definitely noticeable... i recommend.. i didn't do the sun thing tho.. i used a tripleA batter for each one.. placed one wire in the soil.. and placed placed the other wire, covered in an aluminum foil sheet, over the plant by 1inc.. try touching the plant with it, see what happens.. i think it benefitted more, it was a while ago so i can't remember the details accurately
