 It took a long time, and though I was sitting, it still wiped me out.
 
 Here's the important part, after 4 hours (this includes painting maybe 40 or 50 minutes) I was shaking: when I held out my hand, it was trembling.
 
 So she took me home.
 
 Tuesday I was still feeling horrible, and I noticed that the moons which had been coming back on my index and middle fingers were gone, and so were the moons on my thumbs.
 
 Where the moons on my thumbs used to be, there is a sort of faint pinkish area that's irregular in outline.
 
 So, what I think, is that stressing our bodies has a really immediate impact on our B12 levels.
 
 I've doubled up on B12, taking 2 of the 5mg lozenges a day instead of one, and that made the depression go away (by the time she dropped me off at home on Monday I was feeling deeply depressed), but the extra B12 didn't bring back the faint moons that I had had returning.
 
 I had no idea that four hours, and the first two weren't that much of a trial, could affect so many days.
 
 The good thing that I've noticed, is that as I was building up my B12 level and the moons were coming back, I was able to exercise a bit on my Tony Little Gazelle -- I got it because I can hold on to the bars when I use it and feel stable even though I have so little balance left after having low B12 for so long and after living in the hydrogen sulfide (privy pit related).
 
 As I've gotten up to being able to exercise for 5 minutes at a time, I've discovered that my back is a little slower to become so painful I have to sit down. Maybe 12 minutes being up instead of only 10.
 
 Today my plan is to do three 5 minute sets on the Gazelle, each a few hours apart from the others.
 
 The reason I'm writing this is that I used to push myself all my life. But now when I'm 60, the pushing thing is showing itself to be destructive. I lost three days to recovering from having pushed myself for an hour and a half that my body was not able to support.
 
 It's hard to relearn behavior, especially when it's tied to deep set beliefs like the work ethic. "hard work pays off, no pain no gain."

 you have tetanus? you don't need to be pushing much of anything if so...i know you wanna get up and go and do, but take it easy!
