One of the first U.S. soldiers to die in Iraq, Jose Gutierrez, was an orphaned Guatemalan who at the time of his death was not even an American citizen.

What can we say of the young Latino men who sacrificed their lives in Iraq? That they fought without knowing their enemy, played their role as pawns in a geopolitical chess game devised by arrogant bureaucrats, and died simply trying to get an education; trying to have a fair shot at the American Dream that has eluded the vast majority of Latinos for over a century and a half.

As U.S. casualties in Iraq continue to mount, so does the worry in the country's Latino community that its children are dying in unusually high numbers and are being lured into dangerous service with targeted recruiting by the Armed Forces.

Hispanic Soldiers Die in Greater Numbers in Iraq.....
Howdy Blue Cat,

Your last claim:"Hispanic Soldiers Die in Greater Numbers in Iraq....",is similar to what leftists claimed during the Vietnam war, that black soldiers are dying in greater numbers..it's just another liberal tactic, one of their favorites..playin the race card, trying to convince hispanics that the Right is evil and targetting their youth for exploitation.

I think that it's great, that prospective new citizens, would be willing to fight for their new country..that is honorable..and I'd almost trust their loyalty, over natural-born citizens, from the Left. If there's a draft,I doubt seriously,if it will be based on race, but the Left will make it seem so..just like they have before.

It's pretty dang sad, when non-citizens are more willing to fight for Freedom, than our own miserable denizens of the Left..they at least understand, that one must fight for Freedom and be ever vigilant in that cause, they better understand the enemies of the Free World..than many of our own citizens, who take their freedoms for granted, and as long as they have their freedom, they see no reason for others to have the same..yup..pretty dang sad.

Have a good one....
