    Interesting discovery

I know many of you already know of this discovery, but I have a new grow going with one plant up and running and saw something that 'enlightened' me...finally. I had a 2 footer over it (right down on it) and it was doing ok, but then I put a 23w cfl beside it and it pulls that sucker right over towards it! So no doubt the cfl is generating way more 'juice' than the 2 footer (or is this possibly because the cfl is such a more concentrated light source? Where as the 2 footer sprays it's light over a way larger area.) One of the bulbs in the 2 footer is a 6500K version and the other a cool white. So it sort of shows me that the 23 watt cfl is better or probably more efficient than the 2 footer. Otherwise the cfl wouldn't be able to bend it over towards it if the 2 footer was generating more juice. Sound right?

thanks. that's what i'm using but i never knew what cfl stood for. about your seed question, i read on an online grow guide that drop the seeds on a hot frying pan and if they make a pop sound then they're good for growing but if not then they're bad seeds. but don't let them on the pan too long. i never tried it though
