Just a quick Flower Day 19 update...

Kind of an interesting stage as the bud sites have started to grow really fast. The main kolas, as well as the strongest secondaries, are starting to clump with hairs. Hopefully they'll keep this up and form huge buds as they grow together.

It shows the absolute importance of tying and tucking fan leaves and getting the secondaries exposed to light early in veg. Done right, I'm sure you can easily have 10 bud sites that are similar in mass to a typical main kola. Secondary stems can apparently be grown that are nearly as fat and supportive as the main stem.

I know this is all 101 basic stuff to the pros, but it's really cool to see it happening first hand.

You are so correct and its a shame your grow thread has so many non related posts that detract from the importance of what you experienced.

It might make people not wanna read.

When you are finished, it would be sweet to rewrite a post and show the pics of everything and the stages in maybe 2 or 3 pages instead of ...12 now...and what will prolly wind up at 20

NO buds will come close to the main kolas you have growing in terms of size or girth...but you will see a lot more to harvest as a result.

And yes, you are correct in that veg stage is so important as it really sets the frame work for the flower period.

Nah, he's old, broken and retired to the Sunshine state. But was saves his ass and gets us on an occasional airplane for non-violent visits is his immense aquired wealth and my lack of siblings.

It's true that this thread took some detours, but it made me feel like people were paying some attention and helped motivate me even after the tragic death of Hardonna. And having Clever popping in and chatting a bit, for instance, was like having music in the background while you work. I wouldn't want it another way.
