Hey Zandor....about epsom salts (magnesium)

Would tou recomend I add a little epsom salt to my rez? A lot of people use it and some say that GH series lacks it a bit. I assume your Calmag you use is like epsom salt with calcium too. You use GH right? Flora series?. Maybe I should try that too.

Yes I use the flora series 3 part nutrients and have for many, many years.

I have tried Advanced nutrients sensi pro series, it was very good. just not as good as they said. It takes away all of the control I like to have. I have heard great things about Dutch Masters new stuff but I have not tried it yet.

epsom salt is used in small amounts every other res change just to be safe.

Advanced Nutrients HyOx is not bad it process a little better and mixes a little better then just a tsp of epsom salt for 5 gallons.

Epsom salt softens the water more then anything else and RO water is prety soft in the first place. Epsom salt keeps the roots white and does aid in leaching the roots as well.
