8 Gallon reservoir vs 40 Gallon?????

I want to get a hydro system but i am not sure which one would be better. What would be better to have, a large or small reservoir? The links are the two that i want to decide from but not sure if i want a small reservoir or a large on. Plus if someone knows if these two sites are reputeable, please add that.

    larger is better.
You don't need to fill it but you have the option if you need to. Smaller ones your only other choice is to get a larger one or add a second tank to refill it when it runs low.

    That's my thinking anyway.

It also depends on how many plants you have room and light for. I would guess you couldn't grow more than 4 plants efficiently in a resevoir of 8 gallons or less. I can only house 3 plants, or 4 really small ones in my 5 gallon ebb n' flow. If you're looking to grow more than that, definitly go with the larger.
