that fear thing only works for so long before it comes back on you ..thats why teaching by example is so important ..btw i did a lot worse than drink when my lil ones were younger ..but thanx to a steady supply of good weed and me getting some help from a methadone program ive put that shit behind me ..now all i got to do is wait for the grand kids to start popping up so i have some new fishing buddys .. but i think thats still at least a few yrs off

your right dude. people just dont pay attention to what thier young uns are doing ..... i will never win father of the year ..to be honest i have all the paternal instincts of a freakin polar bear. but it isnt hard to teach your kids right from wrong ..doing it by example is always best ,,but rarely done in this day and age ..i live 4 hrs from my oldest and his mom but he knows if he fucks up im a short trip down I-85 from being there to tighten his shit right up ...plus his mom [ who i love very much still] is one of the scariest females ive ever met .but i think whats most important is that the kid knows they are loved and respected by mom and dad and its ok to make a mistake as long as you learn from it ..but staeling isnt a mistake its intentional and never accepted in our family ...

no good daddy should win father of the year, if you won father of the year jimbo, you'd be the most hated father of all......and you have all the parental instincts of a REAL PARENT....example is best, and i'll agree with that till the end....sorry ur oldest is far away because if you were my dad i'd be so fuckin glad you were....and his mom sounds like a paranoid bitch just like my mama no offense...both parents should definitely be understanding...i've been a teenager with strict parents (they were divorced but they both came down on me hard)...but i lived with my mama and she didn't seem to understand any part of "i'm a teenager and that is what i'm gonna be and you're not gonna change that" ... the mamas think they can change it all and make the kid's life perfect but they can't...and sometimes, like in my case, mama's can make it more miserable ... but i've been devoid of a father since i was 13 years old and i'm 21 now....so PLEASE understand your kids and love them and talk to them and force yourself into their lives no matter what....i wanted to hate my dad for so long, but now i realize it's just because he didn't force himself into my life enough, and i just casually grew away from him and lost touch with him....it can happen that way with any kid and any dad...you gotta make sure you stay in his life....be concerned and don't let him slip away no matter what....i'm not trying to tell you how to raise your kids, but my dad messed up by losing contact with me, and you're such an understanding person, and I'd hate to see your son say something about you like i would say about my dad...i've lost contact with my dad, and you don't have to let that happen with your son... after all, every boy wants a dad that will know the way you seem to

dude shes not paranoid at all and i could never hope for a better women to raise my son she's just scary when she's mad dude [ prone to fighting when provoked she got a lil irish in her]..but even through all the yrs i was fucking up and using hard drugs ..she made damn sure our son knew who i was.. i still go down to thier house 5-10 times a yr and spend a week or 2 at a time staying with them ..and they come up here often as well ..we take our vacations togeather and i still consider her my oldest and best friend in the world ..but like i said you dont want to piss her off .. shes like a rabid wolverine on pcp when angry ..but is very fair and loving with our boy even when he screws up ..you should try and track down your pop dude im sure he'd like to know you are alright .. i know i would take care bro
