To my knowledge, the plant uses the leaves as temperature regulators and the chlorophyll from the leaves to help make its energy. But since the light doesnt really penetrate the bottom well, it wouldn't be much of a problem to cut those leaves off, right?
When they turn yellow you can cut them off with little to no affect. For the larger ones just tuck them back and tie them to the main stock.

Thats all I wanted to kno.. I'm not trying to argue its pros and cons yet, i'm pre-occupied with topping and pinching. I just want to kno what it is to prune, the regular method. :( Rating: 5
