there you go again...you say it like ONLY muslims drive cabs

The days of European immigrants, and their descendants, driving cabs in New York are over. Ask ANYBODY that has been here in the past 20 or so years. There are VERY few.

Now, are you still going to believe that Middle Eastern people are not the same race as Europeons? There are only several "types" of genetics, and mixtures of them: Native American, Indo-European, East Asian, and African. The "Middle East" people are considered Indo European.
As cab drivers, they often shun people of African descent. Bill Cosby's daughter had this experience a few years ago, and it was well publicized because they pressed charges.

If you'd get your head out of the brainwashing that you've allowed yourself to be subjected to, there may still be hope for you.

"You make a racist remark but its not racist anymore because you share some distant genetic relation?" My "racist" remark was no more racist than saying that some Germans persecuted Jews, and many German people did nothing to stop it.

are you crazy? i've been to new york before, and i had an arabic cab driver...ive also had indian black white and hell look hard enough and you might even see a few chinese guys pushin the wheel.

You're the one pushing a race card. "Hey...i didnt notice any arabic (i know you said muslim but shut up. not every arab is a muslim. that's just stupid.) guys driving around...it was THEM". you used their ethnicity to justify hating them. that's a pretty bigoted point of view. but what the hell do i know, im a canadian. Maybe we should adopt your system of generalising ethnicities into specific working class groups. Did you ask yourself how many black people were around? black people convert to islam. Were there as many white people walking around that day? i heard an urban legen somewhere that white people sometimes converted to islam too...

It's wrong to hype shit up with no credible base. Especially if you're dealing with the color of people's skin. If you want to believe terrorists brought down the towers...then that's fine. Just remember, it was supposedly muslim extremists..NOT muslims.

And so what if the arab guys will usually pass black people? If they're bigots too, then that's something to be sad about...but im not going to join you in your hysterical rants stating that ALL muslims are bad and ALL muslims are evil suicide bombing terrorists. There are many muslims that would risk their lives to save mine and probably you too. I'm not into hating a whole community just because some of em despise my race of people.

And it's amazing how you say i know nothing...someone who reads these message boards everyday from BOTH sides. You're the newbie here. If anything, YOU dont know jack shit about what's going on.


Right, all the muslims herded to their mosques and took off their masks, revealing themselves to be space aliens in disguise But seriously, do you realise what you're saying? They recieved word from their religious leader or friend that something bad might happen on sep. 11...so of course the best thing to do would be to...go back to work as normal? Keep in mind, you can neither confirm nor deny anything so they listened to their muslim version of a pastor. Go fig.

When christians feel that God sends them a warning it's divine intervention...when a muslim does the EXACT same thing, it's a terrorist conspiracy. C'mon man.

You are attributing belief systems, and emotional responses, to me that I do not have. First, I am not a Christian, nor do I espouse any other religion(s). I do believe that religion, in whatever form, is a bad idea. Right now, the Muslim extremists are the most dangerous - but that could change. If many of the Germans were capable of being in denial (at the very least) of the horrendous Nazi regime, then I do not see why many of the Arabs cannot also be guilty of the same, or similar, wrongs.

Where did I say that ALL Muslims are suicide bombers? I know that they aren't, but the religion itself is against many the principles that my country was founded on. This is NOT to deny that slavery and many other injustices existed (and some still do) in the U.S., but the religion of Islam does not allow for "equality", so it's a foregone conclusion that it's adherents do not fit in here - or many other Western countries. I stated before that I would not want to live in Israel, or the other Middle East places, because I do not agree with their governments, belief systems, and lifestyles. The experimental democracy called the United States will not be open to becoming an Islamic theocracy - which is a goal that many Muslim newspapers have supported. I do not "hate" the law-abiding people of the Muslim faith, but I have seen, first hand, what can happen when we let our guard down.
