the bark you use should be composted fines.

That helps quite a bit. I too agree, it needs better drainage. When I let the soil dry up, I water, and for about 5-10seconds the water doesn't soak in. It sits on top, but eventually it goes down.

I'll try the peat moss next time around, or maybe I'll use vermiculite again Who knows. I'll be going to the garden store soon because I'll be transplanting these ladies into their fianl home.

I have 1 Strawberry Cough, 1 Big Blue going now. It has been one week since I put those beans into germinating. I will be using 200W of CFL's for vegging, and 225W hps for flowering. I am using basic soil again from wal-mart with added vermiculite. I am growing in a space approx 2.5ft square. So, day 1 of vegging begins today.
