You said it takes 5 to 10 seconds to start soaking in, that is pretty good.I have seen potting mixes take minutes to soak the water up.Anyway just wonted to let you no that the peat moss can be a little slow to re-wet.

Okay, that's good to know man, thanks.

I don't think I'm going to go with peat moss, but I haven't made my mind up for sure. I'm going to the garden store tomorrow and I'll have a look around, decide then.

    Thanks for the input! Peace.

    UPDATE:Week 3 of veg

    High all,

Hope all is well today. I am here to give you an update.

First picture is of the Strawberry Cough. She is growing strong, and fast! Starting to smell of skunk too I'll have to look into containing the smell later on down the road, or I might have to donate it Which I don't want to do.

Second picture is Big Blue. For now on I will refer to her as "Lady McGibbles". As you can see from the picture, the plant pretty much didn't grow on the one side. So what started happening was she is growing small leaves all in a bunch in the middle. She's all gibbled up, that's how the name came about.

Third picture is side by side shot. The bigger plant is the SC.

I haven't started giving it fert yet and I won't for at least a few more weeks. I plan on transplanting these lovely ladies into their final home in the next few days. I'll give them a week or so to recover from the move, then I will give them their first taste of food...a small does that is.

I went to every garden store in town and it was slim pickins. I couldn't find any bat guano for food, so for now, I bought some of these food sticks(4th picture), that was recommended to me by a friend. I will be ordering bat guano for next time around though. I have dumped the Miracle Grow 8-7-6 and went with the sticks.

Last picture is my soil mixture I chose. Again, bags of soil were hard to find right now, I don't know why, but no one had any of the good stuff. So I'llk be using the PlantSmart leftover soil, and I will add this Vermiculite(5th pic) to lighten her up a bit.

That's all for now. Next time I update they will be in their final home, ready to floursih for a few more weeks or so, then flowering will begin . Till then, peace and keep growing! Suggestions, comments welcome.

Looking good chowder. The only coment i would like to make was that by useing those slow releas stiks you cant stop feeding and flush the soil at the end becouse the stick will still be there. Unless you are able to pull it out when you need to.
Keep up the good work, they look like healthy little suckers.

    Thanks for the replies!

I already solved the problem using those sticks. I never thought it through 100%, and Hard-on suggested not using them, for that exact reason. They keep releasing fert everytime you water. That is a recepie for killing the plant. Soooo...I went and bought some fish emulsion 5-1-1 and will not be using the sticks.

    Peace.
