Flushing your plants ive been in a debate over flushing your plants before you harvest them. i dont want to start a debate here, but i would like your opinion on the matter. simply put, i believe in flushing your plants at the end of harvest. i think its beneficial for you health-wise and taste-wise. i dont want to smoke chemicals, and i wouldnt think anyone would. but, i am being told that flushing is totaly not needed and it does not remove chems from your bud. basicaly, i was told flushing is a waste of Rating: 5

Nope...no point the plant can't process the suggar and it would clog the root and may keep the plant from uptaking anything at all. That will kill the plant.

You can add flavor by using lemon peals, orange peals apple wedges things like that. During the drying and curing process. The problem is mold if you are not careful.

Never tried it. I use florakleen it does a great job. It's cheep 8 bucks a qt and will last several grows. Its quick and works why use anything else and take a chance when I know what's good?

Hi, you say you just have to cut back on N for the last 10 days. OK, but how do you do that, i think that you use flora series, that's right? I thought i add to put only flora bio and bloom, but bio has got N, in it. So just the bloom ? I began to put only bio and bloom, for this week, next week it will be only PH balanced water.
    Thanks

"TO FLUSH OR NOT TO FLUSH ?"

Here is some more info but it all comes down to preference IMO.

Flushing your plants about a week before harvest is crucial...many dissovled solids need to be leached out of your plants to ensure smooth smoke. If you do not leach and you use chemicals(I'm 100% organic), you may be putting your health and the health of whoever receives your flowers in jeopardy. The residues left within the plants tissues can cause harsh tasting smoke which may not burn evenly or even stay lit.I recommend the ash test to determine whether or not you have flushed your plants properly...light gray to white means you are on the right track anything less than white means you have leaching to do next time you harvest. I hope this helps you with your overgrow!!

what about adding essential oils of lemon or strawberry or the like to the feeding water? I wonder how that would affect flavor of the finished product?
