You have to distinguish between the American government and the American people. The American government is a bureaucracy of self-serving aristocrats, while the masses are just trying to get on with their daily lives. People accuse me of being anti-American because I don't think bigger cages and longer chains is enough, because I criticize the government which is replacing malevolent leaders with slightly less malevolent leaders, as if I were somehow opposed to the entirety of America and the 280 million people inside it.

I'm not. America is a beautiful place, Americans are generally nice people, and we have accomplished tons of things we can be proud of, but the current bureaucracy is not one of them.
